Hope this week is treating you well! I’ve got some pretty cool links to share.
This quick video has instructions for three simple buns that just need a single hairstick to hold them in place. One of them was even tested on a day of roller coaster riding, so I’m pretty sure it would hold up to an all-day dance intensive.
Beauty Find of the Week
Sephora appears to be clearing out all of the High Pigment Pencils from Bite Beauty. Many colors are sold out, which is not a surprise since they’re down to $10 from $24. I wonder if Bite will be replacing them with something else, or if Sephora simply doesn’t want to carry them anymore?
A New Dance Intensive
Did you hear the news? Kami Liddle has launched a new 4-part dance intensive called Krysalis. The first stage, called Invocation, will be offered in San Francisco and Switzerland this year! I’m pretty curious about it. I don’t feel like my budget will stretch for me to attend this year, but I will definitely keep an eye out for the 2019 dates.
Motivation from a Ballet Dancer

An Easy Way to Support the Arts
Are you feeling that “Just paid off my holiday credit card bill” pinch but still want to support your dance community? Now would be a great time to sit down and post reviews to Amazon and Goodreads of the various belly dance books in your collections. The Importance of Readers’ Reviews explains why it matters, especially for small-press and indie authors. So whether you’ve read a great novel with a belly dancing protagonist or you have a favorite book about Egyptian history or you love Princess Farhana’s book, take some time this week to rate and review.
