I received this awesome eyeliner from my friend Liora for my birthday last month. We’d ooh’ed and aah’ed over this color in the store but I couldn’t justify the price for a color that was neither neutral nor green, so I passed it up. I was thrilled to get it as a gift though, especially after wearing it for a couple of times!
The Marc Jacobs Highliner Gel Eye Crayon has a really smooth, buttery texture and goes on so easily. While a lot of pencil liners feel like they’re tugging or pulling as I draw them across my lid, this goes on with ease. The color I have is called Ody(Sea) which the Sephora site calls a “teal green” but I would call turquoise, and it has a very nice metallic shimmer. It goes on semi-sheer at first but can be built to full opacity. Best of all, it wears well for hours (I wore it all day on one of my sweaty Tribal Fest days) but at the end of the night, it removes as easily as it went on, without scrubbing at my eyelids with the makeup remover wipes.
Additionally, you can twist the bottom of the product to release more, but there’s also a small sharpener that you can pull out if you need a finer point.
As a reminder, this is what it looked like when I wore it with some neutral eye shadow last week:

All told, while this product is a little expensive, it definitely lives up to the price tag and I think I may need to invest in more colors from the same line. I find myself planning eye makeup looks around this one so I can have an excuse to wear it because of how pleasing it is to apply and how much the color pops. Definitely a WIN on the birthday shopping, Liora!
