I wish I could wash only every 4-5 days, especially in the winter when my hair takes longer to dry! Unfortunately, my hair is oily enough that after two days it starts to look preeeeetty grungy. 90s nostalgia may be in, but I don't think the plaid-and-stringy-hair look works for a belly dancer :D

I started out with powdered henna and there are some things I prefer about it over the Lush henna, but in the end it comes down to the fact that I can go to Lush in person instead of waiting for my powder to ship. I'm all about the instant gratification!

I have a sample of argan oil, I really need to try it on my ends, too!

That's actually very similar to my own routine, although my hair is nowhere near as long (it's just down to the small of my back at the moment). My hair is fairly thick and wavy, with a tendency to go a bit frizzy, so I do a lot to keep it from getting dry and damaged.
I use henna every couple of months, but I use high quality red henna powder (the stuff that's sold as 'body art quality'), which I've found is actually less messy and easier to prepare than the Lush stuff. I actually wash it a bit less frequently than you (I find that every 4-5 days is about right), and I usually use coconut oil as a mask for an hour or so before washing, then apply argan oil to the ends after washing and towel drying, whilst it's still a little damp. I never blow dry or heat style it, because I used to blow dry and straighten my hair for years, and it left it in a horrible state!
I'm also totally with you on the overnight braiding. Stops me (or my partner) getting a mouthful of hair in the night ;)
