Sophweea and I made it safely to Sebastopol! It was a long, tedious drive through lots of boring nothing and then a few scenic spots and then lots of traffic and construction. California in a nutshell basically.
Did I ever tell you guys that I grew up in SoCal? In fact, I passed within 10 miles of the tiny town I grew up in, and drove through areas that we used to frequent. It was a weird feeling.
Anyway, I made it to town too late to head over to the festival, but I did have fun playing “spot the belly dancers” as I ate dinner and picked up some groceries. I’m a little jealous of all those people who spent today dancing instead of driving!
I’m staying in a cute little rental cottage and there’s an iPod dock, so I should probably take advantage of the chance to get a little dance and stretch in before bed so I’ll be nice and limber for tomorrow’s workshops!
