So what’s the plan for 2015?
This year I want to really focus on, well, being focused. Instead of setting vague goals about spending more time dancing, I need to give myself actual tasks to work on. I think I’m going to make it a monthly thing, ie, each month I’ll put my main focus on a couple areas of dance that I want to improve on, while still making sure to give a little time to practicing other things so I don’t get completely rusty.
I want to get into the habit of actually making use of the DVDs I’ve purchased, and sell off the ones that I find don’t help me. So part of each month’s focus will be working with a DVD from my collection.
Of course, I’ll keep taking advantage of my Datura Online subscription. I especially want to check out some of the yoga and conditioning videos, as that’s an area I’ve really been neglecting.
In addition to continuing to improve my makeup skills, I want to learn how to do more with my hair. I have a lot of hair and I basically wear it one of four ways (down, in a braid, in a ponytail, in a bun). It’s time to master some fancy braids, figure out what products work for me, maybe even get a curling iron?
This year I’ll also tackle the pile of fabric and convertible strapless bras I’ve been buying, and craft myself a few new costumes. I have a lot of great skirts but only a couple of tops that I wear regularly, so it’s time to mix things up and give myself more variety to work with.
I have some other plans too, but it may be a while until I’m ready to talk about them publicly, but it’s possible I’ll be making some big changes later this year.
