This Thursday!

Not only is it gem and bead show season, which is keeping me pretty busy, but I have three dance events coming up this month!

First, you can of course catch me and my Fire & Gold Belly Dance troupemates at Sky Bar this Thursday, where we will be hosting Open Stage. This monthly event features a great mix of dancers from in and around Tucson, all styles and levels of dance, and best of all, it’s freeeeeee.

I will also be performing as a soloist at the Daddy-O’s Desert Caravan up in Phoenix on February 14th (yes, Valentine’s Day). The theme is Fairy Tails so I am excited to be a part of it! I am not sure yet what I will be doing — I just know I will not be reprising my “Poison Berries” piece because that would be too obvious. This event is also free to attend!

Lastly, it’s time for another Improv Roulette at Belly Dance Tucson! This event will be on February 22nd and costs $10 to participate. Improv Roulette is open to all styles and levels of performance artists and is a collaborative experimental experience, not a performance. If you attend, you must participate. There will be no audience, and photos and video will only be taken with your permission. This is a safe place to develop your improvisational skills and hopefully make new friends in the performance arts.
