Did you notice that there’s now an “Events” tab on my website? If you click on it, you’ll find information on workshops with Jodi Waseca, happening next month! It’s going to be an awesome evening of drills and theatricality, a perfect mix of your technical skills and your emotional presence on stage. The best of both worlds! And because Jodi also performs burlesque, these workshops will be designed to be approachable from both a belly dance background and a burlesque background.
The workshops are being held at Fanny’s Fox Den, a delightful little burlesque studio right off of 4th Avenue, so it will be easy to grab a bite or a drink before or after your night of dance.
I’m really excited about this, because it’s been a while since Tucson has had tribal fusion workshops! I’ve never had the pleasure of studying with Jodi before but I have seen her perform, and heard really good things about her as a teacher, so I think this is a great opportunity for any local dancers looking to hone your skills.
