I wanted a nice, dark blush for the faerie look I’m doing for Tribal Fest and it ended up that Seduction by NARS was the best color for what I wanted. This is the darkest color in their collection, described as “Sangria.” It’s way deeper than I would normally buy, as an incredibly pale, freckled girl, but I actually really love how it looks on me for an intense, dark look. I can see myself making use of it for Goth styles as well, to keep me from looking completely washed out.

The formula has a slight shimmer to it and builds nicely. I really love how it looks, and I like how the package feels in my hand. It’s a very slick product! I like it so much that on a subsequent Sephora trip I figured I might like to buy a shade that I could wear more often, and I asked the saleslady to apply some on me, and then she was like “Oh, let me apply this pretty golden highlight too” and I was all “Forget the blush, gimme that highlight!” The product in question is Albatross from this same line. Don’t be fooled by the plain ivory look in the compact, once applied it catches the light and gives your cheek bones this magical golden shimmer. It’s incredibly pretty, and especially for doing a glamorous belly dance look!

No pictures yet of Seduction and Albatross together, but that’s what I’ll be rocking for Tribal Fest and I’m pretty sure it’s going to be amazing! So far I’ve been pairing Albatross with my usual blush and it looks so good I just want to wear it that way every day. Now I also want to get my hands on Mata Hari (hello, it’s called MATA HARI of course I want to wear it!) but my local Sephora was sold out when I went in today. I see that they have it on-line, so I might give in to temptation.
